🔒 Ford SID212 / SID212EVO

Found in Transit, Ranger, Focus and many other models. One of the most encrypted ECUs on the market. To unlock on most vehicles you need to remove it and send the ECU away! No safe OBD tuning possible to this day, even after 7 years.

🔒 Mercedes-Benz (AMG)

In A-Class, C-Class, and more. These ECUs are locked at both bootloader and OS level. Unlocking involves time-consuming manual patching, often unavailable outside official service channels or no option at all.

🔒 BMW G-Series (e.g. 330e G21, M3 G80 )

Uses locked Bosch ECUs. These detect unauthorized software changes and may disable vehicle functions or prevent operation entirely. Unlocks are expensive and require removing ECU  and sending abroad. 5+ years no other options.

🔒 Honda Civic Type R (2020+)

Needs physical jailbreaking kits in addition to specialized software like Hondata. Tuning time has doubled due to added ECU integrity checks.
